Yeah Naruto lowkey deep af no cap
It's not as deep or ambitious as most manga. But it's OBJECTIVELY more entertaining, memorable than most other shonen. Along with having the best fights and arguably the most likable cast of characters. It's dumb fun and that's okay.
I liked when there was risk evolved, and not reanimation garbage with space aliens throwing moons.
Kill yourself, narutard.
no, I dont think I will
Naruto is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DARKNESS. The normal user can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad. However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the jutsus, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole ninja faggotry and everything about the Naruto world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on revenge, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up. Naruto is basically THE series to attract the most hated anime fanbase known to Any Forums, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every user to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Naruto threads ever encourage the newfags to show their faces here.
My favorite series. Pure kino.
ttttrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeee
more like pure kuso amirite? yes. i am right.
What's the next big memorable thing after Naruto? Literally everyone grew up with it, it was the next DBZ. I don't think any of the FOTMs so far will have a legacy as bus as Naruto, what's the closest one so far, Kimetsu no Yaiba?
Agree
Demon Slayer probably which is a shame cuz it's trash
Nah, it's not that good. While Kishimoto is good at writing short little stories, he cannot write a long one to save his life. Things start falling apart immediately - characters are randomly forgotten and then brought back in a clunky fashion, plotlines come out of nowhere, motivations are inconsistent and nebulous, and by his own admission, he had to go back and reference his own old material when bringing back some of the older characters because he simply fucking forgot what they did. He relied on very blatant flashback abuse to explain what characters are to the detriment of the story. And sometimes characters would do really silly things only so that they could be put in a position he needed them to be in.
Kishimoto knows how to work hard (unlike Kubo), but he didn't have the correct mindset to carry a long-running shounen. So Naruto ended up having a ton of cool moments in the first half and fell apart in the second half.
The next big thing after Naruto was Attack on Titan, it began right around the time Naruto was ending. After that, we had MHA and Demon Slayer. Nowadays, I think Jujutsu Kaisen is the next in line.
God like soundtrack, no shonen ever came close to Toshio Masuda's compositions

Really? I feel like those series especially MHA are losing their hype steam at a faster rate than Naruto had, though that might be because anime in general has become more popular so there's more overall competition for normalfag's attention than just one big one everyone watched. Although I hate to admit it, the thing that both DBZ and Naruto share that helped them explode in popularity overseas is the dub, I mean it's obvious with how popular Faulconer is with DBZ and Naruto had "Believe It!" as its memorable dubshit everyone remembers, between those anime which one has an English dub that's really popular and memorable for normalfags?
It's far better than nardo ever was.
They were shorter. MHA is 35 volumes, AoT is 34, while Naruto accumulated 72 (FYI, Bleach had 74 and One Piece is currently at 102). And like you said, Naruto was at its peak right around the time when the Internet became widespread, and the anime fanbase along with it, so it was one of the cornerstones of Western anime discussion since forever pretty much.
It's amazing how naruto's first part was only around 230 chapters long, what do current long running shonen look like at that stage in comparison?
