So is Chisato just going to be moralfagging for the entire show? The thing I hate most about this shitty trope is that it never comes back to bite them in the ass. If you let someone live who was trying to kill you, they'll just end up killing you later - except that never actually happens because the writer is a pussy.
It always happens that the person who was spared either thanks the MC for sparing his life and is never seen again, or has a change of heart and becomes an ally / helps them out later in the story. There's never any consequences for for letting a villain live, because that would imply that killing is justified, and we can't have that disrupting our moralfaggotry now can we?
