Apparently golden age isn’t in the first deluxe edition, that’s black swordsman’s which was kinda edgy.
I’m reading the deluxe edition first vol right now. I actually like Guts and don’t think he’s that edgy(except for the sex with the monster apostle).
He seems just depressed and has ptsd. So he’s angry and lying to himself

the first chapter of the golden age is in the first deluxe volume. it's the very last chapter in the volume. Technically the deluxe edition is the first three volumes in one
