The actual epilogue chapter is fine. What isn't fine is the rush the story was in to end. So many character fates left up in the air, so many plot elements like the Soul King left completely unexplained or skimmed over, so many threads dropped. Remember when Shunsui gave passes to Ichigo's friends so they could come visit him in Soul Society while ominously thinking that Ichigo may never be able to return to the human world for reasons unknown? Remember when Ouetsu Nimaiya pondered over the Soul King having some sort of attachment to Ichigo? Remember how characters like Grimmjow and the Fullbringers returned for all of 5 seconds to do next to nothing even though the story spent a number of chapters hinting at them? The arc also completely failed to finish what the Fullbringer arc started with that Unagi woman who employed Ichigo as a part-timer and her bratty son (frankly it should have been handled in that arc though). Ichigo, Aizen, and Renji vs Yhwach was not satisfying. There was no clever way to beat him, just a brief fakeout where Aizen pretended he was Ichigo and lost an arm so Ichigo could win. This is against an OMNISCIENT ENEMY. Where is the acknowledgement that Ichigo survived the purge despite not having pure Quincy blood? Why didn't Aizen use his Bankai? What was Unohana's Bankai? What was the Soul King and why was he treated like he might have a personality when even Aizen call him a "thing" when he was defeated.

There is a bit of an assumption because this series is being done independent of any tv schedule timeslot like most anime adaptions that try to follow the manga release that they have more time and leeway with how each episode will be storyboard, edited and overall paced that it will produce a much better product than most.

No filler arcs or episodes meant to keep the gap between the anime and manga, looks like good production values and talent rather than the stretched resources of an endless series, and what original material is produced will likely be canon and may even possibly fix issues with the manga.
