I'm watching HG for the first time, and while It's understandable that most compare DP to Kira Kira I'd say it's way more similar to HG, the whole vibe, cast and color palette especially.

As for the cast, they aren't really similar at all. The themes are completely different, and I don't see how the vibe is similar.
