I like that it does a good job recontextualizing Pre-TS arcs and relationships. But what I like the most is the shape of the story in the wake of the Straw Hat's first run to the One Piece. The first half of the story deals very little with the void century and those larger questions. The second half starts answering all those big questions and doesn't really let up. The only one that doesn't is Punk Hazard, but I liked it anyway.

I really like the whole weird tech storyline, from the Punk Hazard experiments, Germa 66, the Mad Scientists Association and the Vegapunk discoveries. All that shit is very well connected and Oda has left a lot of details in the course of plots that seem to be unrelated to that.
