Watched a few episodes, a season or the whole thing?

A few episodes is enough to judge, I think.

If Slayers is the oldest thing you've watched you need to get the fuck out.

Does dubbed anime count?

If so then Science Ninja Team Gatchaman / Battle of the Planets. It was good.

If sub only, then Yawara!, which was good but could've been great if the douche reporter had been reduced to an occasional buttmonkey character rather than a constant intruder.

Astroboy then (the old black and white one). I like the themes of his works in general.

This. Better than Looney tunes WW2 cartoons. Solid 7/10.

Congratulations, anybody in this thread can now say that they have seen the oldest anime they’ve seen

project A-ko on youtube
If unironically, then 47 episodes of Mahou Enjeru Sweet Min also in Japanesw with no subtitles on Youtube
I understood like 10% at best

If we're talking completed TV series, it's this one. Seen a handful of pre-1970 Tezuka episodes and a bunch of stuff from here, as well.

I guess Fist of the North star? I dont really watch anime and prefer manga.

holy shit that's old

Gundam maybe? In any case, from the 70s

Kamui Gaiden. I don't remember much of it other that it was very depressing.

dropped after 15~ episodes because the dogshit animation filtered me, but it was an interesting experience and I plan to give it another chance in the future

Galaxy Express 999. It's like aesop's fables in space. It had some charming moments but it's really long.

Attack No 1
and yes, it was great. (Thanks, OldCastle. Quality work.)

Devilman (1972) it was an ok monster of the week show, but its a terrible adaptation of the manga.

Mazigner Z
It was pretty boring, desu. I like old anime, but it was too baby mode for me. Sorry.
