Yeah I'm not digging these redesigns. That was my biggest fear with the transition to CG because the series is nothing without its style.

If it gets the manga back in print I really don't give much of a shit about a new anime not being very good. That being said, I hope it's good.

jeez have faith in the new project. It covers a part of the story that was left pretty blank for the longest time. We will be getting more Vash Knives dynamic. Trigun is in desperate need to have more than 6 interesting characters so new cast could be good fix for that

It's 14 for Maximum (+2 before the name change that were so closely adapted in the original anime they could get away with summarizing it in an episode or 2), and not even very long ones until like volume 12 with a lot of 10 and 11 just being padding out Wolfwood's last fight, so they could easily cut that down.

It looked alright. Not a huge fan of Vash's new design but its supposed to be a prequel so he'll probably look like he's supposed to by the end. Idk how I feel about it not just being a faithful manga adaption, but oh well.
