This. Watch any American animated sitcom like Family Guy or South Park and you will find that it's even more spontaneous and retarded than Jap humor. Jap humor will poke fun out of a girl being over the top about her eating habits, American humor will have the character explicitly point out the eating habits and then flash to a cutaway gag of an unrelated celebrity guest eating everything in sight.
