I think most of the seasons of the show went through about 10 volumes of manga content.
Final Act goes through about 20, and yeah it just is absolutely break neck speed. They really needed some more episodes to make the points where they stop to take a breather a bit more impactful.
10 volumes a season really feels about right, its why Ranma feels so unbearably slow. 7 seasons and they only made it to about volume 22.
