Long story short, why should I consider any character other than Emilia, Subaru, Petra, and the few others who aren't terrible people (Annerose, maybe Clind and Ryuzu?) anything other than assholes? I still like them, but I find it silly how people try to desperately defend them like a normal, good person would do anything listed above.

Don't know what to tell you, Emilia's camp is literally the antichrist camp. Regardleaa of Satella, the whole point was a secret plot to resurrect what's basically an abomination of radiated mana who can drive people mad by simply walking around and holds all the secrets of the universe.
The fact that Emilia agreed to be Roswaal's puppet and having him and Otto run the country shows that shes at best, not as much a good person as just insanely naive.

I couldn't finish the second season of this show. I barely made it through his family flashbacks, but then they get stuck for weeks because that stupid reddit bitch can't do ONE thing? Nah, I just couldn't.
