The anime has potential, if they nail the Harry Potter atmosphere with the music and all. The animation itself also has to lend to action-heavy or tense moments before breaking into comedy.
I'd say it's too hard to deliver perfectly, and I don't think they'll even get close. But it'd be great if they did.
