This is like the 3rd time (each one somehow being worse than the last) this bait-and-switch thing has been done and it completely ruins what was a pretty nice, comfy ride. Stop shilling for shit. It's quite obvious that the author is a fan of these 'soft resets' where the pretense behind Senpai doing anything to advance progress is either: incidental, accidental, or imaginary; that way he doesn't have to actually commit the character to anything. It's fucking lazy, retarded, and played out. This would have been at least OK if he didn't start creating these multi-month long arcs with the same strategy; people obviously expect a bigger deliverable at the end.

Ton of things have been 'soft-reset' because the MC has not taken any direct, CONSCIOUS action. I can't think of any direct ones other than the stupid lunchbox exchange, which by the way, are COMPLETELY boring and un-interesting, bet I'm crazy for holding that opinion.
Let's walk through them:
- Name: said he's ask, revealed by sister, incidental as he's essentially un-conscious. Still waiting on him to ask though!
- Hand-holding: accidental the first time, incidental the second, didn't do it to do it, did it to get way from other people.
- Hug: imaginary first, accidental the 2nd trying to catch her

We are so far away from a fucking conscious HUG that if this isn't indicative of the insane amount of padding coming then I don't know what is. The realm in which any sort of kiss/confession takes place is absolute fantasy at this point with how long this is going to be cheapily dragged out. It's unfortunate because there's a ton of potential here for some cute shit, but author refuses to pull the trigger.
