He got Takagi-san animated and Takagi sells like cocaine, so he got the green light for his other mangas.

Yeah if the manga gets cancelled by the publisher for being unpopular thats a good sign thats not anime worthy.
But out of those mangas that get completed you need to have pretty niche audience, bad art or incompetent storytelling by jap standards to not get anime.

Takagi was a hit, you're almost guaranteed additional adaptations if you get a hit. That's the very reason big order got a series. It was garbage, but future diary was such a hit they had to give him a chance.

Anime tend to focus on specific genres and target audiences. Others are more likely to get live action adaptions and aren't adapted at all.
