Is Oda the best mangaka when it comes to foreshadowing?

i love when sometimes in the SBS, someone will point out all of the vague foreshadowing of an event oda had planted hundreds of chapters prior, and oda is just like "haha yea, that was definitely the intention and i totally did that on purpose"

dude literally who gives a fuck? every example i've ever seen of his foreshadowing is a nothingburger.

let's say it's true that he planned a rough outline of the story 20+ years ago. he knew luffy would have a brother that gets executed, that he'd have certain "sections" of the story where luffy frees some islands, fights the yonko, blah blah blah. but seeing how successful his manga was he decided to flesh out everything that he outlined.

when you put it in context there's nothing impressive about his foreshadowing. are the people who praise this shit just comparing one piece to bottom of the barrel random trash?

One thing I hate about the One Piece community the most is when people sperg and complain like retarded schizos when Sabo was found out to be alive, like Ace died, who did they want to own the Mera Mera fruit other than him?? Sabo doesn't hurt the story or anything like that, it just sets up Akainu to be a stronger opponent late game the issue was wano cause guys like Kaido/Big Mom they weren't around pre timeskip and there wasn't any pretense to who they are or anything like that and it makes no sense how Kaido really really wanted to fight whitebeard yet never made any attempt to face him/reunite

In regards to what you said, things I like about the story is how Oda takes real life inspiration from things around the world, his mind isn't archaic he does understand westernized concepts and historical events like white lead syndrome and the mafia-don/al capone thing with Dolfamingo and also how he models the Admirals after famous japanese actors and other characters as well such as Enel/Eminem the whole is unique and cool

Yamato joining just makes things better:

>less panel times for Nami and her shitty fanservice, when Yamato goes full nude without punching people
>it makes Sanji automatically stronger than her, which will make CoC spics seethe
>more females on the crew is always better

People don't like Sabo because he rendered Ace's death and so Luffy's development moot because Oda brought in a character who is a replacement for Ace

Sounds plausible enough. May explain why Shanks aka noble heir know about the nika fruit and how he can get so cushy with the gorosei while Buggy aka xebec heir got the D power of influence and luck.

Its funny though cause even if Ace left marineford alive the whitebeard pirates wouldn't be anything without their Captain and it would just be a weird plot piece in the story, like "what do we do with ace he joins mugiwaras?" in hindsight it was better because it sets up Akainu to be a powerful opponent later on in the story and it gave Luffy something to get stronger for not just for ace but his crew secondly it gives the revolutionaries a strong part in the story since they have a strong mera holder who can use advanced armament and See the future and even fly, something ace couldn't do so its not a big deal, really I liked Ace but it pissed me off how he turned around and made everyone's sacrifices go to waste
