Why does Any Forums have problems with women reading shonen manga, but Any Forums has no problems at all with full-grown men watching and circlejerking about magical girl shows made for young girls? Women reading Jump is bad but men watching/talking about PreCure, Aikatsu, Mewkledreamy, PriPara, etc. is acceptable?

I keep seeing people in Jump threads complaining about "shoujo" series like Akane-banashi or Blue Box, or complaining that women read Jump, never mind the fact that they've been reading Jump as early as Slam Dunk (which was released before many of the those complainers were even born).

It was getting an anime and stage play, had advertising deals with multiple big brands, and was bringing an outside demographic into Jump that increased their overall base. It wasn't a Naruto by any means, but it lasted 13 volumes and obviously was going to be a part of Jump's future before the writer got horny and bought a bike.
