Kaguya isn't strong. She's rich. But the roles have to be like that for the story to work. A poor boy grinding for academic success and a rich girl's heart is relatable to male viewers and a girl using a mountain of manipulation techniques to get what she wants while still having a soft spot probably relates to girls. Swap their roles and the story is "girl falls in love with princ- I mean rich boy"
