he's funny. He's like a friendly spandam. yamato is a boring Rebecca shirahoshi tier female that provides nothing besides an Oden parallel for the straw hats because oda didn't have a big tit Wano female to meet the quota

His design and portion of his personality where he's a simp for the Straw Hat pirates strongly subvert eachother, while his personality also matches his design and his attitude towards anyone who isn't connected to the Straw Hats very well. His gimmick can also be funny when done well.

He's got an interested df power as well - it's very basic which makes it interested to see what he does with it

Barto has a goofy power and is more of an underdog, he's not stealing the limelight from more important characters but he still has a lot of great moments.

his strength is dependent on the understanding of his power. he defeats powerful enemies because they have no way to predict what he can do and can only slip up.
once his tricks are known he becomes less dangerous and takes an assist role instead.
the situation its self feels realistic, like its bound to logic.
yamato is just inexplicably powerful in every sense and has no weakness and nothing feels real about the situation the character is in.

Barto is thrilled to assist his idol, but doesn't expect stay with him or get special treatment.
Yamato demands she sail with Luffy because Oden would have, and because she knew Ace.

Because he was funny and didn't force himself on to the straw hat crew and just made his own crew but its not like its Yamato fault completely since she's basically autistic cause Kaido locked her up all her life

Everyone loves Yamato. It doesn't even seem like lots of the strawhats like or no of his existence. He isn't forced. Also he has a personality outside of his gimmick. All there is to Yamoto is she is strong and Oden. Bart is an asshole and a punk. A provocateur. It make his gimmick extra good because its contrasting. Good fights and interesting powers also help

I may be wrong but, as a yonko luffy now has control over Wano, Whole Cake Island, Fishmen Island, and all the other places that come with the grand fleet. He has big dick territory already.
