Is this the worst page in manga?
Is this the worst page in manga?
it's the best pleb filter in manga
Oh what a divine mangaka Togashi is! Not only he has mastery across many art movements (renaissance art, expressionism, stick art), not only he has deep knowledge of philosophy (Kant,Hegel,Liga Espanol), he is also the leader of experimentation in the manga medium, with the evidence in show how masterful he is in turning a visual medium into a written medium. This is the culmination of the experimentation done before by Samura, Nisio Isin, Sakama and Nozawa, all of them are lesser artists than Togashi themselves.
Posting the pic related, because I have no energy to waste writing.
SHITren lost
I haven't read this but yeah. If you can't show without telling to some degree you're in the wrong medium.
why can't shounenshitters create their own ocs instead of stealing hunterchad ocs? it's almost as if they're creatively bankrupt like their favorite mangaka.
Rihan's ability requires him to autistically deduce everything about his target in order for it to work, this is literally Togashi showing his thought process instead of just telling you he did it
These arguments are always the worst in these threads. This page is genuinely a good example of showing without telling, but people don't understand what that rule means.
Yes, because of niggastream's shitty translation
No that would be this
>If you can't show without telling to some degree you're in the wrong medium.
kek i bet you think you're smarter than you actually are. "show don't tell" is literally a criticism most used for novels, but you haven't read a single novel in your life so it's understandable that you think show=pics and tell=words like the midwit you are.
>I haven't read this
we know
hunterchads we can't stop winning
"Show don't tell" means you demonstrate something in the story instead of just telling the audience. Like instead of saying "Character A cares a lot about character B", you "show" them doing things that indicate them caring about each other. Or if you have "a character who has a power that activates after he's deduced everything about his opponent", you show how he breaks down information in his headspace instead of just saying "he has a brilliant mind that never misses any detail".
With one piece being on break for 3 more weeks I share your pain, huntertrannies
MY PAIN IS FAR GREATER THAN YOURS
Low level readers don't get that it's perfect characterization of Rihan.
The amount of exposition you get in HxH varies wildly by character when it's being told from their perspective. Gon is silent with a few insights, Killua usually thinks too much, Hisoka is analytical but isn't plagued by indecision and emotions, and so on.
Rihan has to repeat the basics to himself constantly, remind himself of his experience and what mistakes not to make, and how his ability even works, with a mindset that's plagued by double-checking and doubt, basically autistic ocd that manifested as a nen ability that's an instant kill if he obsesses enough. It's a perfect page.
>Gon is silent with a few insights
I always thought it was weird how little we see Gon's inner thoughts compared to everyone else
Yes
No, you do not.
One Piece’s longest break was just over a month.
Try 3.5 years.
