So remind me, how was Guts supposed to be in the wrong for hunting Apostles and Griffith instead of staying at home with a retarded Casca who's terrified of him?
Besides, the only reason Casca was healed is thanks to Guts finding Puck while hunting apostles, and having become strong enough to protect her on the way.
This whole "revenge bad! You messed up Guts!" point was just terribly executed, wasn't it?
Im going to manifest burning the fucking chink discount this
Joseph Williams
>This whole "revenge bad! You messed up Guts!" point was just terribly executed, wasn't it? Your interpretation of what you think are simplistic themes shoehorned into the story is childish. Do you only think in such reductionist sound bites?
Ryder Allen
Guts left Casca behind because he was also terrified of her. Seeing the love of his life crippled into that. He chose to run away and not feel anything but hate. He had a responsibility to casca. Basically he was suicidal before. Now he has something to live for. Don't take it as revenge bad. It's probably what kept him from just letting himself die.

I'm fine with Guts turning his attention to Casca and making this a new goal of his, but going to hunt Apostles was unironically the best thing he could've done at the moment for the world. He literally saved thousands of lives by killing the abominations who killed his friends, and killed many more. Meanwhile he had absolutely nothing he could do at home, Casca wouldn't trust him and she wouldn't heal until the magical elf bullshit anyway, which was only brought thanks to Guts' hunt.
Basically it's fine if it's "Guts is feeling better now, he can see something other than enemies for himself", but he did absolutely nothing wrong.
Maybe you shouldn't be retarded
Aiden Reed
Are you saying RETARDATION BAD and THINKING GOOD? Thank you for your valuable insight.
Ryder Howard
The message wasn't that hunting the apostles and fighting against Griffith is wrong. Guts' problem was that he was wandering aimlessly while rejecting help from other people and his fighting was only leading to self-destruction. He wasn't even looking for a way to heal Casca early on, the only thing on his mind was his demon kill count.
Parker Cox
But now he has to go back to hunting apostles because Casca doesn't want Guts near her anymore. :(
Anthony Rivera
Forget to add this but he also had a responsibility to his friends, and he did right by them by avenging them. Really the only bad thing about killing apostles is that it made Guts more and more tired, but there's no way he would have been at peace at home. Just look at Casca, she fucking shut down due to how traumatic the event was. It's almost unrealistic how well Guts coped and his only flaw was being a bit of an asshole/neutral during black swordsman
What was he supposed to look for? Magical elf dust to heal trauma sounds fucking retarded. He left Casca where she could recover best: far from him, and with children to play with. Also what help was he supposed to accept? He's the only one who can fight the demons, and anyone who gets close to him either dies or is a burden to protect.
Christian Reyes
What bothered me with the death of Miura is that fucking Borkoff still not tasted Guts's sword. That bastard is responsible for cutting his arm and scratching his eye. I hope all apostles will dies in the continuity.
Easton Martinez
I'm fine with Griffith being demonized for offering Guts and Casca as sacrifices, but being reborn as part of the God Hand was unironically the best thing he could've chosen at the moment for the world. He literally saved tends of thousands of lives by putting an end to the Kushan invasion which was raping Midland, and will save countless more. Meanwhile there was absolutely nothing he could accomplish as a broken cripple unfit to even stand up, the world would keep on being a hellscape of misery and suffering with no way out for humanity had he refused the deal. Basically it's fine if you think "Griffith crossed a line of no return," but he did absolutely nothing wrong.
Owen Allen
Just because reborn Griffith did things that happened to be good because they're required for him to get his castle doesn't undo the fact he doomed thousands of his devoted and loyal men to eternal torture, including his best friends/lovers, while also raping one in front of the other. Also it's heavily implied things will go to shit eventually anyway. What do you think he's doing right now? He'll kill more
Eli Ramirez
Oh so now we're dealing with hypotheticals instead of the facts? He sacrificed a thousand in order to save a million, that's a noble action and a net positive for humanity no matter how you cut it.
Bentley Kelly
What matters is intent though. He didn't sacrifice 1000 to save 1000 000, he sacrificed 1000 for a castle. Just because there happened to later be an invading force that he could defeat in order to get his castle doesn't change that he betrayed and killed 1000 for himself.
Aaron Lopez
>What matters is intent though. So doesn't that make Guts in the wrong since his intent was never to look for a way to heal Casca and he just happened to stumble upon some fairy fucktoy?
Jacob Foster
The analogy is retarded. >Griffith betrayed and killed his friends, dooming them to eternal suffering. Also raped Casca just to spite Guts >Guts betrayed and killed no innocent. He made sure Casca was safe, and then went on to avenge his friends. >Griffith did it for himself >Guts did it for his friends as well as himself, as evidenced by his dialogues ("they were all young and had a future to live!"). He also did it partly for humanity, which he identified with, as shown during the fight against Rosine
Carson Price
And refer to There's nothing he could've done for Casca. He was the living embodiment of her trauma. The only thing that could make her recover was literal magic. Guts did the next best thing by letting her live a peaceful life with the kids.
Evan Cox
Are we judging intent or whatever end results proves to be beneficial or harmful? Which one is it?
Liam Brooks
I judged intent and acts here. Guts had noble intents, although darkened by his own PTSD. "Kill the man eating abominations" is a noble intent, whether you get off on it or not. Guts also never did bad shit. Griffith did horrible things without having a good intent to even try to start justifying it. You don't even get your morally gray "the end justifies the means", he just wants his fucking castle.
Owen Lee
If your'e judging intent, then literally all of the Godhand (Femto included) do what they do solely to perpetuate evil and suffering in the world. Falconia is no different.
