Berserk

Is this a plot hole? We know that the Beherit activates when the user reaches the lowest point of his life and when that happens he must sacrifice the dearest thing to his heart. But as far as we saw, Rosine sacrificed her parent and Griffith sacrificed his men, here is what I think the plot hole is: as humans our feelings change and shift, Rosine hated her parents when her Beherit was activated and she really doesn't own her parents, so why didn't she sacrificed Jill? The same goes for Griffith, he hated the band of hawks, specifically Guts and Casca, yet both of their sacrifices were accepted, how?

>Griffith, he hated the band of hawks, specifically Guts and Casca
room temp IQ take
Also the egg of the perfect world was able to ascend and his sacrifice was the world "in its current state" becasue he had no one and nohing

He hated them, what the fuck are you talking about? He hated Guts for leaving and tried to choke him.

He never hated his only friend. That's crazy.

he was under a lot of stress, please understand

it's not about sadness or stress, it's about the Beherit, why did it activate when his feelings changed?

he hated that guts was able to break through his mental barrier and become an actual friend, even if griffith didnt realize it before he left, he was the only one to ever make griffith lose sight of his dream autism(the facade he wears as leader of the band)he actually cared about his troops alot to the point of having a mental break down when a young member got killed during a battle and realizing that his ambition is what caused it, he sold his ass to gennon for money just to supply his troops(which has a usually unnoticed parallel to gambino who sold guts's ass to donnovan just for pocket change/drinking money)

Feels good to have daily active Berserk threads again. Mori and Gaga brought back the hype

Are you saying Griffith didn't hate Guts after he left? The Beherit shouldn't activate since, again, his feeling for the band changed after his imprisonment. And why didn't he sacrifice Charlotte?

>her Beherit was activated and she really doesn't own her parents, so why didn't she sacrificed Jill?
The count sacrificed her wife instead of his kid too. It looks like the behelit takes what it can get at the moment.

but it also needs to be something you hold dear to your heart, both the band and the count's wife weren't loved by the users

They were loved for the longest time of their lifetime though, I think that overweights that momentary feel of dislike toward them

I never thought of that, that is an excellent point. but why didn't Rosine sacrifice Jill? or Griffith sacrifice Charlotte?

Rosine simultaneously loved and hated her parents, when she was delirious while dying her instinct was to go back home to her parents.
Griffith also cared about the band of the hawk, but at the same time was angry and hurt because Guts tried to be independent from him.

>Are you saying Griffith didn't hate Guts after he left?
He blamed guts for his own poor reaction to him leaving as a cope, when guts comes to save him his initial crazed reaction is to strangle him, but once he sees how hurt guts looked over the state of griffith he stopped, he even tries to yell to guts to not come close as the eclipse is triggering
>The Beherit shouldn't activate
the counts behelit activated because he didnt want to die, griffith has the egg of the king which functions differently and grants a meeting with the godhand during the eclipse(something that happens every 216 years) its why all the demons were flocking the point of it prior
>And why didn't he sacrifice Charlotte?
she got hit with a poison dart and got left at the castle during the escape so she wasnt anywhere near

>Rosine simultaneously loved and hated her parents, when she was delirious while dying her instinct was to go back home to her parents.
But when her Beherit activated she hated them and loved Jill

>why didn't Rosine sacrifice Jill? or Griffith sacrifice Charlotte?
during both instances neither of them were present during the ceremony

>she wasnt anywhere near
Maybe I misremembered something, he didn't have the Beherit when he was in the castle, right?

But Rosine went to say goodbye to Jill, why didn't she sacrifice her then?

he had lost it for awhile but it returned to him while in the dungeon shortly before being rescued

>both the band and the count's wife weren't loved by the users
That's just straight up wrong. If the count didn't love his wife, he wouldn't feel so betrayed when he found her betraying him in a pagan orgy. But it was because of his feelings of betrayal that he was willing to sacrifice her in the first place. The same principle applies to Griffith, he truly cared for the Band of the Hawk, when he was given the vision of the castle, he was mortified by how many of them had died for the sake of his dream. He simply saw that the rest of them dying would let him achieve that dream immediately, and those who had already died wouldn't have done so in vain. He straight up says that he cared for Guts so much that Guts was the only person to ever make him forget about his dream, and if he was to achieve this, then getting rid of him was a necessary sacrifice.

The Beherit wasn't active when she said goodbye to Jill, why would she sacrifice her?

Can the user activate the Beherit himself? if so, why didn't he activate it in the castle and sacrificed the princess?

I might be wrong but the person sacrificed is the one that is invading the mind of the beherit owner at that time.

He didn't care for them, they are his tools, and let's be real, his dream and goal are 100x more important than them

Then how did Rosine know her Beherit was going to be activated? She must have known otherwise she wouldn't have come to say goodbye.

She said goodbye because she was running away from home
