The problem is that we don't see why she feels that way. The manga skipped everything about demon society and how they react to it. As far the reader knows they are monsters that eat kids and Emma doesn't want to kill them and somehow all the others kids, even Norman and his squad bent to her will. Barbara fucking ate demon flesh and had mental breakdowns and had to kill demons to calm down.

of all the moralfags she's the one that made the most sense. She's lived with demons and understood that they were as much victims of a rotten system as they were and started sympathizing with them.
Sadly, as pointed out, her life with the demons was completely skipped, so it didn't feel organic at all. Plus they just happened to have a super convenient solution for the problem.
