I'm a newfag who have just finished watching the entire anime. Uhh...why the fuck didn't tomoya move on with picrel? Instead we have this nonsense ending. Another season telling the story of how tomoya copes with losing his dear ones , finding a reason to live, meet a new love, learning to be happy again not just for his sake but also for those who have passed since they too would also want him to be happy instead of depresso. Imagine all the melodrama potential, it would have been kino.

There was a short story put out by the author that takes place 5 years after Ushio's death from Kyou's perspective where Sanae and Sunohara (individually) are trying to get Tomoya out of his slump by setting him up with Kyou, who is still hung up over him.

He was all but ready to, but then life happened. Or didn't, because technically nothing that happened after Tomoya's fade to black moment just before Nagisa's death actually happened. The VN does a better job of handling this. It's a common thing to bitch about and I love Kyou too, but it would've massively worsened the payoff.
