how come we still haven't gotten a proper anime adaptation of umineko when it has clearly worked in a non-interactive medium before with the manga adaptation?

because it's longer than higurashi while also being way more dense, even accounting for the absolute gutting of the story an anime adaption would have, you would need something like 100 episodes just to tell the story coherently, let alone well.

i agree and that's likely the reason why we don't get as many vn adaptations anymore to begin with.

but deen higurashi isn't that good either if you look at it that way but it was good enough for the anime only audience.
