The Rooftop Battle should have finished the way it was, without the part where Luffy takes solo on Kaido

But Law, Kid, Killer, and Zoro didn’t thematically stand opposed to Kaido like Luffy does. If Kid was in charge of Wano it would look pretty close to how Kaido runs it.

Not the same user, but I would've wanted a Luffy, Kid, Law vs Kaido match. Big Mom shouldn't have been part of this arc, moreover Kaido losing to these 3 would've given credence to Odas introduction of Kaido and how "he cannot be beat 1v1"

Diavolo, although I have mixed feeling about his defeat, it felt unsatisfyng but also kinda cool

Madara was stealing powers left and right and still got his ass destroyed by a guy who couldn't do ninjutsu. Kaidou got his ass destroyed by Oden from the get go, and when the raid started, every samurai and mink was cutting slices of him, even Zoro was about to cut off his head at one point. Madara and Kaidou are fucking jokes, Kaguya was the real powerlevel bullshit freak.

Bit of a fringe case because Araki actually DID set up a reasonable way to defeat him and then chose to make it not work. My guess is that he felt like forcing Wonder of U to attack/pursue the protagonists would be too similar to the Civil War fight in part 7.

No, the issue with his defeat was that everything Luffy has done including gear 5 wasn't anywhere close to even tiring him out but then a BEEG PUNCH just one-shotted him.

what about part 4 Kira?

Kaido should have been taken out similar to big mom. Not completely outmatched in particular but due to extern circumstances. The floor under big mom crumpled and she simply fell to her demise, otherwise she could have taken Law‘s and Kidd‘s ultimate attacks. This way big mom got defeated while maintaining her power/threat. Kaido on the other hand simply lost a 1on1.

If you mean Bites the Dust, that's more about tricking Kira into revealing himself too early rather than forcing him to attack someone. If you mean Kira in general, he gets a pretty grounded final battle and I don't think he fits the thread.

BM was beaten by a couple of punks who weren't particularly strong fighters without their fruits. Luffy is a physical beast.

To be fair Big Mom was only still in the fight due to being able to heal herself and power-up. Without fodder around to steal more life from its possible they'd have taken her out conventionally

The "cannot be defeated on a 1v1 statement" is referring to Kaido in the present where Roger and WB have been dead for years and Kaido is considered the strongest pirate alive.
