Dropped years ago probably a quarter of the way through Dress Rosa and still not reading any more of this garbage. Oda should have kept with his original plan of finishing the series in 6 years which would have made it around 288~ chapters and would cut all the fat caused by shit pacing out.

The best way to consume one piece is by watching the one pace edit and then read the manga from where it left off. It’s gone through a lot of re-edits and polishing over the years and is really good now, with it still being worked on and new episodes edited. It’s only accessable through torrenting so one would have to spend half an hour learning how do do that beforehand.

It's actually not that good. Especially by odas standards. Simultaneously too slow with nothing important being given any proper emphasis. It's actually hard to go into detail what went wrong because it's such a long arc and there's so much to go over but in short none of it felt cool or important. Not even gear 5

I never wanted to get into One Piece, since I'm not hugely into the style, or pirates in general, and also it's just long as fuck with no end in sight. But a relative bought me the first couple volumes as a gift because I mentioned being into manga, so I guess I have to read it now.

Read like 4 chapters out of 1060 or whatever so far. I guess it's not awful but it hasn't grabbed me yet either.

I didn't want to read it for pretty much the same reasons over the years, then early last year I said fuck it and started. Forced myself through the first few arcs, then the end of east blue was ok, and didn't think any of it was better than ok until water 7 outside of a few moments. Now it's my favorite manga of all time. It's a long one and a slow burn before it gets good but it's absolutely worth it.

not even trying to be a hater or anything but i'm around chapter 200 and seriously when does it get good? Like the story is fine solid 6/10 with some great moments here and there but yeah kinda hard to justify continuing desu
