I'm the same age user. The only thing that gets me through it is the knowledge that 40% of marriages end in divorce and most of the remaining 60% are unhappy, or are difficult at best. You can write that off as an "incel" comment but you're more than welcome to ask any middle aged married man. So my point is that enjoying the first few months/years of a relationship is just a farce, a way to trap yourself into something long term and unhappy. From another perspective, women cost a lot, are annoying, and every relationship has to end. Learn to enjoy your time alone or time with friends. Women aint worth it

no, I don't think it's defeatist at all. I assume that it wouldn't even be that hard for me to get a relationship because I live in a big city and could get dating apps. Defeatism would be to say that that would only end in failure, whereas I actively choose to avoid that because I think it will cause me more pleasure than pain in the future. I last had a gf when I was 14, and I remember then I got used to the pleasure and life returned to feeling "normal", and my brain had the time to long for other things where it now longs for a partner. I'm just saying that from a utilitarian perspective with as much objectivity as I can muster, getting a girlfriend is a deceptive waste of time. And I disagree that hating women is based, hatred is a waste of energy
