Dante= by far the biggest dissapointment out of the three. Had everything going on for him, design, OP powers, amusing personality, great introduction.
Instead of winning against Asta and Yami he loses to them, and yet the goal of capturing Yami is still achieved......by Zenon. What the fuck was the point of that if the end result would be the same regardless? it simply made him look like an idiot. Him winning would've motivated Asta and helped him grow. He then comes back to start having difficulty against fucking Jack, then he gets a power up and gets defeated by fucking Magna.

Now Julius is the final hope but considering he has a good personality in him that's already a recipe for disaster and will warrant a talk no jutsu situation to defeat him.
The only option is to pray and huff copium as much as possible.

The point is that the Dark Triad would all be contracted to high-level devils making them a powerful force to be reckoned with, part of his character arc is starting to believe that power is all that matters. If they had a contract with Lucifero it's likely that they had stipulated some terms within it.

There's more to the parallel that you didn't catch, for example I'm sure you can't explain where Vangeance ties in to it.

They fully explored and developed the themes, psychological concepts, and aspects of their personified humanity that they were created to depict, and served as proper foils for each of the main characters and side characters.
