How did Any Forums go from giving spotlight to lesser known anime/manga to only liking the most mainstream entry level anime/manga?

Any Forums was always about seasonal anime

Old Any Forums yeah, current Any Forums only cares about Weekly Shounen Jump.

How about try making a thread about a show you want to talk about? Be a part of the solution, instead of part of the problem.

She is sex. I hope we get a second season.

Try again. Everyone has made failed threads before. Change your tactic if you must.

underage newfags and other tourists

Yeah she was.

Make better threads

the only tactic that worked for Any Forums is to made a baitthread and calling it shit, dumb or picking minor mistake. Passionately describing the story and why you like it will probably only get
>cool I'll add it to my list
and no further discussion

You didn't even need to force it back then, Any Forums just naturally gravitated towards the lesser known stuff.

People will just accuse you of mindless shilling

Not in my experience. You could make a thread for a current show and it will always take off. If you're talking about an older show, make an engaging OP.

Any Forums turned mainstream, even more so

Any Forums is the only English speaking place on the internet that likes Jashin-chan.

Nah Any Forums was more popular when Any Forums ran the show.

Says the sataniaposter.

A simple greentext like this attracted a lot of people to talk about very niche anime. Just find something that attracts replies and see how it goes.

The selection bias disappeared.

Before, people who liked mainstream entry level anime/manga stayed in mainstream sites like reddit or facebook or twitter or gaia or whatever, while those who wanted to discuss lesser known anime/manga moved away from those sites and eventually settled in Any Forums.

Today Any Forums is just another mainstream forum with the only thing making it different being that you are allowed to say "nigger".

>with the only thing making it different being that you are allowed to say "nigger"
This isn't true anymore.

is too, nigger

It's really not though. If someone reported that you might get in trouble, maybe even a 1 day vacation.

Leave, nigger.

fine, then "faggot" and "tranny"

No gatekeeping. Now Any Forums, Any Forums, reddit, etc, feel welcome here.
Any Forums just needs to go back to the old ways and tell everyone to fuck off, use undesirable threads as loli porn dumps or dubs generals. It's that easy.

You're walking on thin ice here.

Those words annoy me more than the N word but I'm not going to tattle on anyone.

FINE THEN Any Forums IS JUST ANOTHER MAINSTREAM FORUM WITH NOTHING THAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?!?!?!?!

Yeah because they both describe you perfectly.

Cope, Niggerfaggot.

No, they don't they just broadcasts to me that you're a zoomie newfag who has been immersed in zoomie culture.

I think serving in Vietnam really messed with your head.

Free simulcast release. Basically WSJ finally managed to create a service that would directly compete with fanscans aggregators.
Popular JUMP titles were mostly frowned upon on Any Forums and axebaits wouldn't even reach the anglosphere. Now every Sunday feels like a JUMP Festa.

There's always going to be a gulf between the more popular stuff and the less mainstream. That said it doesn't take much spamming by mentally ill posters to dominate the board with shitty bait threads. I don't follow hxh yet I end up seeing the same images, usually the block of text page, almost every time. Snk may be over yet I still see it spammed in some stupid ways. Same with csm threads that are just a poor front to bait flame wars or other currently trendy stuff.

People still share some interesting stuff so I still stop by. I picked up the snake fucker manga and Mad Chimera World which I really liked just by chance from someone posting about them. There was a thread with old horror manga that was fun to read. And I also found out about the Suicide Girl manga from someone story timing it. I think there's definitely interest in lesser known stuff but it takes more work to keep those threads afloat and take off when competing with people who love to spam the same shit nonstop.

>I don't follow hxh yet I end up seeing the same images, usually the block of text page
I caved in and I read up to chapter 60 with no motivation to continue, genuinely one of the most boring things I've ever read.

There's still regular threads about obscure anime posted on Any Forums every week. Lurk more.
