Anime peaked in the 80s/90s. I have tried and tried to get into some of the MUST SEE anime of the last decade or so, and while they may look very nice I just couldn't care less about the characters or the plot.

Prime example. Watched it all the way through, and damn near 1.75'd the speed on the last 3 or 4 episodes. Could it be Isekai isn't for me? Maybe so. But the world fucking nutted to this anime for years, and I gave it a solid go but just meh'd my way through it.
