I'm starting to dislike Luffy more and more.
He's literally just a rubber retard god now and all he does is punch enemies into submission. No matter what you do or what powers you have or how you knock him out or defeat him he just shows up again with even more rubber retard divine stubbornness and defeats you.
You literally can't do anything to stop him.
It's not like he even outwits you or does some trick to win or pulls some high IQ move. It's literally just rubber retard god punching until you can't take it anymore.
Look at Kaido! The most powerful creature in the world that even the best fighters barely managed to scratch and inconvenience and Luffy beat him by simply punching him over and over and over and over.
It was fun to cheer him on when he was the underdog but now it's like watching some slow moving force of nature simply overwhelm anything and anyone by sheer force of stubbornness. It's becoming depressing.
No matter what powers Blackbeard accrues, Luffy will wear him down by punching him over and over. No matter how untouchable Akainu is with his magma, Luffy will punch him with super secret long distance haki over and over and wear him down. No matter what weird powers Im has, Luffy will punch him as well until Im can't take it anymore.

I really fucking hope Sabo doesn’t get to beat him, but I also hope Luffy doesn’t either, especially after how lame and unsatisfying his victory over Kaidou was. Honestly Luffy can just live with the fact that Akainu killed his brother. Shit happened, your brother was a dumbass who played one last stupid game at the worst possible time and won one last stupid prize. Luffy or Sabo trying to avenge Ace because a Marine did his job is just lame. Ace had agency, he knew the risk of cobfronting the mist bad tempered Admiral and did it anyway.

Luffy being a living god preordained by fate to wage a libertarian jihad against the WG killed a core of his character appeal. Especially when you consider the fact that it’s canon that Zoan DF’s have some kind of psychological effect on their users that seep into their personalities, influencing who they become as people. How much of Luffy’s courage and charisma come from his literal god powers, I have to wonder. Would he still be Joyboy esque if he’d eaten a plain jane Zoan like a Chimp DF or maybe not even eaten a Zoan at all? Why’d the Gomu Gomu have to be le secret god fruit, Oda?

I have this fucking terrible scene in my head where Sabo stands over Akainu's defeated body in triumph, and he's saying some stupid shit about how he AND Ace defeated him
It basically writes itself, during the fight Sabo can even drop some awful line about how he shouldn't underestimate his brothers flames

It's kind of funny to think Luffy had his awakening in his back pocket all this time. Katakuri was never actually a threat because if he had pushed Luffy one percent further than he did Luffy would have flipped into Gear 5 and clowned on him.

I think that was just as bad as ace not running away in marineford. Ruined the series for me

I hope it emerges that defeating Akainu would ultimately do more harm than good because men like Akainu are a necessary evil or some shit, and Luffy and Sabo can just seethe and fuck off.
