MHA is relateable to a western normie audience because of the superhero concept and Highschool setting. Alot of MHA fans are people who wouldn’t otherwise consume shounen or in some cases even anime in general. As for demon slayer it’s so well produced that even if u think the story is average it’s enjoyable just for the spectacle. It’s also a lot of zoomers first shounen anime and has a cool aesthetic.
