For me, it's the other way around. I've been into metal music for years, and I've gotten into some anime because of the music.

I got into metal from the DBZ dubs, Guilty Gear, and Blazblue, which are anime adjacent. So pretty close I'd say.

Attack on Titan's Wit Studio OPs are power metal. Very similar to Raphsody of Fire and Blind Guardian.
