When did you realize that the MC of Monogatari was for self inserts?

Episode 1

and there is nothing wrong with it

I self insert as monkey

But I identified with Nadeko.

1rst cap.

You didn't get his character if you seriously believe that

>haremshit
from the very begging

fpbp

Yeah, the point of Araragi is that he wants to be a self-insert, but can't.

But that's not literally m(II-chan) from Zaregoto.

i wish i was chad enough to self insert as him

>ITS A DECONSTRUCTION OF HAREM
Can someone explain this to me?

>self insert
Does anyone actually fucking do this, or is it a meme? I don’t think I’ve pretended to be a character since I was 6 years old. I just take the story and characters for what they are. And Im almost positive that Im the majority on that.

He's not. He's a metaphor. He always acts the way women around him expect him to act.
He's a pervert near Snail, because she expects him to be like that.
He's a foolish but romantic hero near Shinobu, because that's how she sees him.
He's a good friend for Monkey because that's what she wants from him.
And so on.

Normalfags legitimately need characters to be "likable" and "relatable" and autists flip their shit when the designated hero demonstrates flaws and character traits they can't project themselves onto or find otherwise undesirable. People who can actually assess fiction detatched from these terms are actually a minority when it comes to mainstream media. You'll have better luck finding them in more serious art circles. It sounds fucking stupid, but it's true, same reason why we keep having moral panics over media and such.

Op can't speak english, of course he didn't understand the show.

But what is the real Koyomi Araragi?

It's a cope from gatarifags who don't want it to be associated with bottom of the barrel genre such as harem. A futile one though. Kinda remind of GSfags.

He's not a pervert around snail, they're just doing avant garde, extremely self aware manzai. I love those two so much.

Just by looking at him, there's no reason to have an ugly looking average teenage man if not for self inserting really.

When do you realize OP can't think for himself and just spout buzzwords?

? This is ridiculous. Deconstructive doesn't mean "is not". Madoka is a deconstructive mahoshojo show. It's still a maho shojo show, and it's in no way saying "maho shojo bad". The same is true for gatari. It's parodying, and in some ways criticizing, otaku media, but it's concurrently celebrating it. You fags need to go to school or read a couple books. It's embarasing. And I dont give a shit about liking haremtrash. I love haremtrash. But gatari is haremkino, and it is deconstructive media.

>and it is deconstructive media.
I really dont get it. In what way does it deconstruct harem?

What do you think deconstruction means in a literary analysis context? Genuine question, I honestly think most posters just don't understand what the term means.

nope, you keep saying deconstruction this deconstruction that like it's supposed to be a good thing so at this point it's on you to explain what does it mean and why is it a good thing
