to be fair not killing you isnt actually absurd to ask of a yandere. the point/intent of yandere is not to end in your death, its just easy to upset them enough to make it happen.
pinkhair specifically only tried to kill hers because she didn't see any other way to get to be with "Him" forever, as it was the only way for one of them to win, become god, and then hop universes (again) to be with another version of the other.
...which becomes dumb as hell considering once that doesn't happen the next her just punches a hole in reality with a hammer, but my argument here isnt that that series was very good.
