Why do some people think J+ isn't a shonen publication when the word shonen is literally in the title?

Most Japanese consider it hard shounen

Because retards think shonen is a genre and are embarrassed to admit they might like something from Shonen Jump

>Muh made up coping term

its officially soft seinen

Because shounen jump is the brand name retard.
Same way Shounen Jump Ultra is Seinen.

Officially, it's branded as something between Hard Shonen and Soft seinen

>Shounen Jump Ultra
Ultra Jump doesn't have shonen in its title
see s-manga.net/magazines/magazine.html?magazine=ultrajump
The brand name is "Jump" and not "Shonen Jump".

>Despite its title, Shōnen Jump+ also features series targeted towards female readers and adults in addition to its namesake shōnen manga, which is targeted towards teen males. The magazine serializes original titles and titles from other Shueisha manga magazines, and also carries digital editions of Weekly Shōnen Jump.

It's still a shonen publication. jump+ series are labeled by shueisha themselves as shonen when searching on shueisha official website.

>Shueisha estimated Shōnen Jump+'s users to be 65% male, and that 18 to 24 year olds were its largest age demographic at 32%.

unlike WSJ magazine, you need bank acc to buy pt on J+.

Just a brand name. You don't consider NK as democratic just because its in the official name.

Why are you faggots still hung up on "demographics" go back to 2010 or something

Nobody gives a fuck about these labels anymore, in Japan at least. Even WSJ is starting to publish series that skew more female, something most other """shounen""" and """seinen""" magazines have already been doing for years if not decades. The only relevant distinction is that most shounen magazines won't allow you to draw explicit scenes, but that's it.

average age of Jump Plus reader is 27

you don't really need real money. there are several ways to earn blue coins. I do have an account.
also, it's a shonen publication unless they decided to cut that part out of their title.

and average age if WSJ readers aren't 10

16 vs 27

Retarded WSJ-kids who can't cope with the fact that they like kids cartoons.

Why all of you ashamed of reading shonen? Just remember that shonen produced the last MOTD

Shonen is just a marketing term, "reading shonen" doesn't make any sense.

>ジャンプコミックス
>Jump Comics
Why are you lying, OP?

Yes, and unlike the equivalent of YA/LN in books which are also a marketing term, the shonen label is actually able to produce some of the best pieces in the medium. That's why it's bizarre that several fanbases of specific shonen manga don't want to their manga to be labeled as shonen, as if those works are above the shonen label
