Why didn't you tell me that it was such a masterpiece, Any Forums?

Fuck off newfag

nice digits, newfag. and thanks for the bump.

>Why didn't you tell me that it was such a masterpiece, Any Forums?
if we told you you wouldn't have believed us anyway

>Why didn't you tell me that it was such a masterpiece, Any Forums?
was it?

Because Giant Robo is for /m/en.

Why

It's not. It's pretty shit. Only liked by autistic 80s and 90s ovatards. Good for you though that those people make up most of Any Forums.

You're new.

Together! Allegiance or death! BIG FIRE!

what do people see in this?

We have a banner for it for a reason

Because:
1. You're late to the party.
2. Giant Robo is for /m/en, not b/a/bies.

It's an enormously ambitious epic scale crossover that manages to tell a very personal story with themes of dealing with absent fathers while also expressing grander themes of good vs. evil and overreliance on technology that isn't understood. It had a massive cast and managed to do half of them justice. It's like Avengers but actually good with real gravitas and respect rather than being 3 hours of faggy jokes.

You'd tell me I was wrong, but anyway go watch the Ginrei ovas now

it has some of the best animation I've ever seen in anything, I can't remember anything about any of the plot or characters though

There were tons of characters, from all different works. That's probably why. Most of them had enough depth to them to be fun or interesting, too.

Too many philistines nowadays. Congrats on finding it on your own and enjoying it. Pity we'll never see the hypothetical prequel and conclusion of the saga that was drafted out. Maybe it's for the better. As it is now, Giant Robo is "The Empire Strikes Back" without the other parts of the OT and unfinished as the overall conflict is, it leaves you with a sense of grandeur and how all of what took place during the OAV is just a chapter in an ongoing larger than life tale that leaves room for your imagination to flourish.

Didn't the liner notes fill a bunch of stuff in, like Zangetsu being Daisaku's brother and whatnot?

Interesting, didn't know about that yet. I'll throw in the timeline of how things were supposed to go down:

The Birth of Zangetsu the Midday
The Plan to Assassinate Daisaku - the Canary Penitentiary
The Boy of Three Days
The Greatest Battle in History - General Kanshin vs. Shokatsu Koumei
The Boy Detective, Kindaichi Shoutarou, Appears!
The Day the Earth Stood Still (

moeshit should be more up to your speed.

Not even the best 90s ova adaptation of a 70s super robot show about the end of the word with "robo" in the title.

>insecure OVAfag can't stop bringing up moeshit as a deflection
