Its got probably the most unique and interesting setting for a show in the last 5 or 10 years. The whole concept of the abyss and how it is handled is absolutely amazing and the weird optimistic yet melancholic tone of the show is perfect.

Either split cour or another movie after this. I definitely can’t see the full arc fit into 12 episodes. They will most likely take things as slowly as the first season. Which I guess good thing for Tsukushi so he can get a little further with the story by the time the full arc is covered by the anime.

I don't think we got enough material for a split cours or a movie desu. Just not enough material left over if they will not reduce it all to a snails pace and stretch it beyond its limits. Instead I think they will just remove stuff until they arrive at enough content for 12 episodes.
