Production by committee for advertisement has no artistic aura at all, which is how the overwhelming majority of anime are produced. They're marketing exercises for LNs and mangas and so on. Everything has to satisfy investors. Something like Evangelion cannot be made any more; it was made by a passionate auteur with incredible talent, who drove the project a mile on every penny. The time has passed for such naive works. Anno's own rebuilds prove it.
