This is what they should be saying. In none, fucking none of these situations it has been about the bad guy himself really, its more about the good guy not beeing someone who kills in cold rage. Envy deserved death, but Mustang is better than that. Winry would be justified, but she would regret it for the rest of her life. The retarted noble in shield hero deserved death, but Raphtalia would not stomach doing that. Its really about protecting your purity, not the bad guys life.
