Funny thing because Lucky Star subverts the classic moe tropes. Konata is more of an otaku tomboy instead of the kawaii uguu classic loli moe. She teases Miyuki by praising when she does something clumsy as “moe points” but unlike the classic moe character that tend to be more immature and many times even affable dumb Miyuki not only is mature but also she is the one the others go for when they don’t know the answer to something. When Konata started working on a cosplay cafe Kagami asked if she wouldn’t act clumsy and drop stuff to do the “moe type” but Konata answers that in real life that would be just a nuisance, not something endearing. On Lucky Channel we have Akira Kogami representing the classic moe type with an adorable and cute cheerful little girl except that is also a lie and her real personality is of a foul mouthed violent and abusive girl. All characters subvert the types they supposedly represent in certain ways because they aren’t made by types but just happen to be people with a few traits of those types in common
