So I just started watching Haifuri and I'm curious, how did they manage to cram mess hall, shower room, infirmary, etc into a small WW2 destroyer?

Ships are big man. I've gone on cruisers that were massive, it's hard to imagine what Yamato would have been like.
They use a kagerou class, that's 118m x 10.8m, with a crew of 240. With a class of highschoolers you'd have tonnes of space. I can't see the blueprints but I'm pretty sure it'll have 2 decks below as well as whatever is on the surface.
The TP episode was good.
Was there any justification given for why the Germans have sea-worthy vessels?
Why wouldn't they have?
It's not WWII anymore and (I guess) a parallel universe where the Axis powers have significant presence in the world still?
Das Boot?

Did the movie ever come out?
The one where they defeat the massive mech?
Yes, it did.
Movie BDs have been out for an age, yes
