Oh shit, this is epic. So the entire time we thought this story was how deku becomes the number 1 hero, but it’s also the story of how shigaraki becomes the number 1 villain? Are we going to watch this side villain go on a twisted heroes journey and grow into a monstrous villain unlike any other for deku to face? Are we going to get a great fleshed out developing motivation from him? Then will they have a brutal final confrontation to the death?
No? He’s just going to keep saying he wants to destroy everything and barely develop at all past a point? And we’re going to bring Afo back instead and turn him into a puppet who deku wants to save like this is a poor quality Naruto ripoff? Ok...
Oh shit, this is epic. Toga stole deku’s blood. And the story gave it emphasis as a cliff hanger. Are we going to see the villains use it in a devious plot without major plot ramifications? Perhaps she will frame deku with a serious crime? Or use it to bait all might to kill him?
No? She’s just going to use it to turn into deku at the end of overhaul and distract some people for a few seconds and nothing else? Ok...
Oh shit, this is epic. Tartarus is so fucking cool. Imagine an entire prison filled with all the past villains and plenty of new terrifying characters. Are we going to get a epic intense prison break arc and then use this as a chance to bring back the fan favorites to the story?
No? They break out in two chapters? Making everyone look like retards for keeping Afo alive? And the characters who break out with him barely do anything?
Oh shit, this is epic. There is a traitor among the heroes, or even the students? Are we going to get a shocking reveal and betrayal of one of the characters who got developed and we loved? Will we find out their dramatic backstory and what lead them to this? And it’ll have dramatic plot ramifications?
No? It’s just going to be a literal who with barely any development, and they did nothing since this point so it barely even mattered? And the whole thing got resolved in like 3 chapters?
MHA got cursed the moment Horikoshi decided to redeem Overhaul.
Maybe wait to pass judgement on that particular subplot if and when it actually happens?
