>Satou was only 22
>I've surpassed him in age
Welcome to the NHK
>Waaaaa waaaaaa my life is over!
>He's fucking 22
The Japanese are fucked in the head.
Onizuka was 22 too
Oh my god I’m the same age as him. I’m not really in the same place
what are you talking about
after age 21 you're expected to lead a full time adult life from having a job to friends to a gf
The most surprising thing was that his students were supposed to be middle schooler despite looking and acting much older.
been there felt that.
That happened to me around the time Welcome to the NHK aired.
I got my normie boyfriend to watch this and he likes the dark humour and sees it an an interesting eye into otaku culture, incel-dom and agrophobia.
I also got him to watch girls und panzer.
He is developing a type now when it comes to anime girls.
What have I created? I have corrupted him.
ywnbaw
We use the term normalfag here. Also, please don't blog about your homosexual life of gayfaggotry.
This has been my experience with alot of people around me.
The average normalfag has moved on with their life in their early mid-20s, has a 7 day job, shitty apartment they can barely afford, kids and girlfriend, along no interests/hobbies/fetishes.
And they rub in your face how happy they are while being irritated as hell you avoided a bunch of shit they did.
This is mostly true for boomers in my country. The 30yos like me live a different life here. But you are probably right and it's not all of them. I probably only see one half of it because the single, happy, hobby-loving people are the ones you can befriend.
There is no way to make friends with those worker drones family people because they literally have no time and no interests so you cannot build up a friendship on common interests
Pic related is 15, anime age makes no fucking sense, at 22 you are still a dumb ass kid.
I'm a 30 year old NEET, I feel like NHK cursed me when I saw it a decade ago
I suppose my post was a bit of a chance to grump out.
Seeing loads of people when I was younger was fun but then they kind of just moved on and replacing them feels hard because alot of the time you're stuck with aquaintences at work moreso than those outside it.
No I completely understand you.
I hate how you cannot form new friendships (or barely) once you are older than maybe 22. The majority gives up on life unless it's career related shit since being a wage slave seems to be the only life goal most people have. And with their families they disconnect from the rest of the world. Everything stagnates, people have no interests and fun anymore and friendships are harder and harder to make because you rarely even meet people with interests or the will to do anything anymore and you probably lose the old friends as well because they move away or give up as well.
Maybe now I finally understand why old people are so bitter. They didn't even have internet to enjoy things alone or relate to strangers on a board.
most NEETS and incels are in their early to mid 20s and most of them do get over it despite popular opinion
often it is learning to live and socialize with autism
Unironically this including the spoiler. Never worked in my 20s save for a few part-time jobs I always quit after a few months. Now with 30 I can control my autism and have a real job for the first time ever but I hate it regardless and actually wish I could go back. I honestly miss shamelessly delving into my own autism and fictional worlds. I think for me it was too many people around me dying. Cannot live without a job if the last family member is a mother with a very shitty pension
>at 22 you are still a dumb ass kid.
This is a very modern and retarded way to think. Do you know that in the past teenagers weren't even a thing? That age range was considered early adult. We have been made retarded and pussified by modern culture. At 22 you should be married and have a kid or two.
In many countries, this is not a reasonable expectation
A lot of, if not most, people in their 20s have no idea what they are doing and really aren't that much better off than NEETs. Working low wage jobs, saving very little money between bills and recreation, living with roommates, no clear future, no five year plan, etc. I'm about to turn 29 and I'm basically just now figuring out a situation that is actually viable long term and allows me to support myself without roommates. This idealized version of adulthood where everyone goes to school and gets an actually decent job and is on a good sustainable path by 22 is not as common as you may think, even for people who aren't otaku NEETs.
>crying on social media about modern culture
how very "modern and retarded" of you
It'd be interesting to see if the numbers of hikkis increased or decreased ever since the show aired like 2 decades ago, although we'll never get accurate numbers from the Japanese government for obvious reasons.
I often see this sentiment expressed in the west that even so-called well-adjusted, hard-working, did-everything-right young millenials are getting crushed by the grind and economical, once-in-a-generation (just kidding) economical setbacks.
They don't see themselves doing this shit for another 30 years so they can retire in a sardine can. The Japanese are just a few steps ahead. I don't blame anyone who wants to tap out. This isn't a "I'm only X years old, I've still got Y years to figure it out/fix my shit!" issue, it's a profound rejection of society and all it represents and you can't get away from this just by getting back to school and getting a degree and a job and everything-you-should-steps.
