Baki Dou

What's the future of this series? It's going so slow (constant breaks on top of Itagaki's slow plot pacing), and Itagaki keeps failing to introduce a character as interesting as Musashi...
I do remember people disliking Musashi Dou's pace and certain things like cop Namek, but people universally loved Musashi as a character. I haven't seen anyone really in love with Sukune (or Kehaya) so far.
Let's hurry back to Jack Dou is what I'm saying.

I'm starting to read it should I stop at Baki Hanma.

I like Sukune.
I don't really care about Kehaya so far but he's only had like 3 chapters.
Itagaki often meanders like this. Just the new influx of fans that I'm assuming read the manga all at once and aren't used to how slow and repetitive baki can be. There are more breaks, but Itagaki is getting older. At least the dude's a healthy mangaka, maybe the healthiest.

Itagaki is too busy celebrating with Naoya Inoue. I heard he is going to the week long after party so good luck with that. Anyway Itagaki is old. He is a man that has everything: money, wife, children and grandchildren. He doesn't need to work hard anymore and he prefers to spend his last years with his boxing and mma idols.

>He doesn't need to work hard anymore
As someone with an artistic mindset, I doubt it.
There's no way you work on something for 30+ years and are OK with just "It'll end when I die". It could end on a completely lame, transitional plot chapter. I do remember the Itagaki quote in which he claimed he wants to work on Baki for as long as he's alive, but that doesn't necessarily mean just writing new manga chapters. He must have an idea on how he wants to end the series, and that's very much a "still need to work" thing. Not for cash, but to complete your life's work, you know?

No. Hanma is the end of the main plot but Dou is still very good.

Yujiro needs a humbling. Not a defeat, a humbling

Jack already said it. Showing your asshole.

That's a major assumption to assign to all artists, and yet definitely something an art major would say. But wrong, Terry Pratchett and Agatha Christie are perhaps the most notable examples.

He already got that by admitting his miso soup was too salty.

>Naoya Inoue
>1,65 m
and people here said that Itagaki was tall for a Japanese guy.

Where do I start reading or watching this? There are diferent anime right?

I'm guessing Itagaki is the same height as Baki which is 5'6.

The manga's translation is a mess, just wathc the anime where the MC has orange hair, then go to the next season where he has brown hair and once you finish that wath the Netflix adaptations.
If you've also read Kengan you will find that their "power levels" are pretty equal for the most part despite what Baki fans want you to believe

Thanks.

It's kinda cursed wish but I want Itagaki to make a Joe Rogan character in the manga, he had one of the best back kicks in the world back in the day, just fuckign make him some meme underground champion flashback, please

>future
Baki isn’t linear. There is no plot, each chapter is stand alone and you can read it all in any random order. (Which is a good thing)
