Personally, instead of making him an actual Incel, I d make him into a bona fide gangster. His reasons for using Mikey can stay the same. Of course, for that to work, it would require a massive rewrite to how the story is presented and for MC to actually be an ideological opposition to that. It would also have to be shorter story for it to work.
