Ryuki is the weirdest case of the early series rival who gets weaker and weaker in comparison to the new threats. Like for Rihito it feels semi-natural because he's revealed to be kind of a dumbass goofball even though he tried to kill a man on his first meeting with Ohma, but for Ryuki his arc gets more and more serious-but in terms of fights, he only seems to do well against mooks even though supposedly he's been hunting and killing people for years. Even Xia Ji countered him out of the air.

I cannot for the life of me take the Gaoh Style seriously at this point. Ryuki had every reason to be serious about fighting Xia Ji, and he couldn't pin him down even with Akoya in full body armour helping. He needed Kiryu to point out incoming mooks after 2 years of fighting evil on the move.
I'm starting to think Gaoh Mukaku was kind of overrated.
