The fact is Oda introduced way too many subplots and didn't resolve the majority of them in a satisfactory manner

Let's not forget that now Sanji is part cyborg. Remember how his mom went through so much to give him a natural birth and then this happens? Invalidated both Sanji desire to not rely on his family's power and his mom to keep her son human. All randomly put in to explain how Sanji can beat someone who I have no trouble believing Sanji could beat before his magic upgrade.
