Can anybody actually explain the fucking phenomenon of anime (especially isekais) having MC explain the concept of dust explosions?
Why do they act like it's some sort of genius thing no one has ever heard of?

I've never heard of that.
This seems oddly specific
Well you see, we must first tackle the issue of Isekai as a genre.
Why does one write an isekai?
Do they have a story in mind that can only be told by displacing the main character in an alien world? No!
They do it either to follow a fad, or because it's easy.
Isekai is insanely easy to write. It is widely accepted in spite of the juvenile set-up. The reason why an MC is transferred/reincarnated into another world is glossed over. Characters infodump onto them (and through the MC, the reader) all relevant information rather than introduce it in a smart, timely manner.
Because of how simple-minded (and usually, fucking stupid) isekai authors are, any topic they are trying to look intelligent about is usually the result of a 10 minute wikipedia article skimmed. A low effort genre like this attracts low effort, and straight up talentless authors.
Off the top of my head, Goblin Slayer.
Same shit with Index, the docks fight episode.
How come you never came across this shit?
It's almost 100% exclusive to shounenshits so I'm wondering if it's not some Japanese highschool thing mangaka learn at some point in physics/chemistry classes and go WOW COOL I'LL PUT THAT IN MY MANGA!
The average person, let alone the average highschooler (the target audience for isekais in general), doesn't know about it so it makes sense to explain it.
Also that sounds awfully specific. Which manga traumatized you user?
>How come you never came across this shit?
Because only literal teenagers actively watch shounenshit
>How come you never came across this shit?
Not that user, but I had never heard of a dust explosion until I read the book Timeline by Michael Criichton, and that was when I was in college. And who cares anyway? Isekai MCs always explain the concept behind everything that they do. Why is this example the one that ticks you off?
How do you do it Any Forums?
You mean flour explosion shit? I think there's something like that in sherlock homes too.
this, the genre isn't inherently bad it just attracts retards like no other
I do it with my thumb
>He actually thinks normalfags know what the fuck a dust explosion is
What about pushing in with your thumb? Is that the standard "shit I need to push up my glasses cause they could fall"?
One punch man had and explained one in a special.
This, I didnt know about it before I saw said one punch man special. I guess it makes intuitive sense though.
the fuck's a dust explosion?
A dust explosion is the rapid combustion of fine particles suspended in the air within an enclosed location. Dust explosions can occur where any dispersed powdered combustible material is present in high-enough concentrations in the atmosphere or other oxidizing gaseous medium, such as pure oxygen. In cases when fuel plays the role of a combustible material, the explosion is known as a fuel-air explosion.
Dust explosions are a frequent hazard in coal mines, grain elevators, and other industrial environments. They are also commonly used by special effects artists, filmmakers, and pyrotechnicians, given their spectacular appearance and ability to be safely contained under certain carefully controlled conditions.
Thermobaric weapons exploit this principle by rapidly saturating an area with an easily combustible material and then igniting it to produce explosive force. These weapons are the most powerful non-nuclear weapons in existence.
If rapid combustion occurs in a confined space, enormous overpressures can build up, causing major structural damage and flying debris. The sudden release of energy from a "detonation" can produce a shockwave, either in open air or in a confined space. If the spread of flame is at subsonic speed, the phenomenon is sometimes called a "deflagration", although looser usage calls both phenomena "explosions".
Dust explosions may be classified as being either "primary" or "secondary" in nature. Primary dust explosions may occur inside process equipment or similar enclosures, and are generally controlled by pressure relief through purpose-built ducting to the external atmosphere. Secondary dust explosions are the result of dust accumulation inside a building being disturbed and ignited by the primary explosion, resulting in a much more dangerous uncontrolled explosion that can affect the entire structure. Historically, fatalities from dust explosions have largely been the result of secondary dust explosions.
Index is the only one that came to mind for me but index is literally pseudo science wank the anime. Just cause it does something doesn't mean it's a trend
8 with one hand
Anime is for kids and teenagers. Why are you still watching it?
I havent been able to upload images on Any Forums for MONTHS because someone from my country has apparently abused this site.
Why am I punished for this? IP range bans are insane.
Why, I am a kid and a teenager.
Of all the simple concepts that isekai MCs explain, it's dust explosions you have a problem with? I don't think the average normalfag even knows what they are.
1, 4 or 8.
