Why are there so little adventure series on WSJ now? I'm not exclusively referring to fantasy, but to series set in new worlds. Is it due to the audience? Is it due to the difficulty of creating interesting worlds? (Honestly WSJ series have a pretty bad worldbuilding generally speaking)
WSJ
Mashle isn't adventure and I love BC but it barely counts at this point
Also One Piece just had a 100 chapter "adventure" through one building lol
Because it requires a lot of setup and it's all about not getting axed this days. Red Hood tried and where is it now?
I can tell you coming up with a world is a real pain user, it's even worse for ongoing manga.
Yeah, mashle isn't adventure, but is at least set in an invented world. BC does count as adventure all things considered, even with the atrocious last arc
I know, but so little series is weird nonetheless.
Red Hood sucked and squandered what it had.
I hate that BC is considered an adventure because it never gets me feeling like it's an actual adventure unlike something such as Grandia.
The manga that made me feel like an actual adventure the most was Golden Kamui. Though, BC was an adventure before the last arc.
That one's on my reading list now that it's over and yeah, BC was sort of quick but still adventure-like initially.
GK is set in 1900 Japan though
It does look great though.
>atrocious last arc
but the arc was good, not "elven arc" level but still good.
>Red Hood sucked
no it didn't
It is. The last arc was a bit rushed and not that good compared to the rest of the manga (not to the point of ruining the story though). It's a great read
>Red Hood tried
It really didn't.
Good enough for me.
Not using the world (and Taguchi) are the reason it died
>The last arc was a bit rushed and not that good compared to the rest of the manga
why do people say that about everything?
I wasn't aware they did, but GK last arc was definitely rushed. The author even said the conclusion would be twice as enjoyable with the volume release
because is what's considered good to jump readers
anyone smart with ideas would try to luck elsewhere
>The author even said the conclusion would be twice as enjoyable with the volume release
but that is normal? that is the reason I always say "translators should use volumes raw instead of magazine raws."
Why the hell would a grown up still talk or read Shonenshit? I dont get it
He even said the arc will be heavily revisited.
It was so terrible the manga stared its final saga
